This describes what Dreamy Writing Company ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our websites and Ingenuity, and what we do with it. We're a small, independent company operating from India — this policy is written to be read in full, not skimmed past.
Your email address, and anything else you give us when you create an account or contact us.
The manuscripts, notes, and other content you create in Ingenuity are stored so the Service can work — Ingenuity is your writing environment, so your content has to live somewhere. We also keep basic usage data (things like when you're active, what features you use) to keep the Service reliable and improve it.
We keep a record of your subscription status — active, trialing, cancelled — synced from Dodo Payments. We do not collect, see, or store your card number or other payment details; those go directly to Dodo.
Standard technical information any web request carries — IP address, browser type, device information — mainly for security and diagnosing problems.
To provide and maintain the Service, to process your subscription, to respond when you contact us, to keep accounts secure, and to understand how Ingenuity is actually used so we can make it better. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your writing to train anything beyond what's needed to give you the Service itself.
We use a small number of service providers to run Ingenuity, and each only sees what it needs to do its job:
We don't share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.
We keep your account and writing data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls on our database so that only you can read your own records. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by writing to hello@dreamywriting.com. If you're located in India, these rights are consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you're located in the EEA, UK, or elsewhere with its own data protection law, you may have additional rights under that law, and we'll honor them.
The Service isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone below the age at which they can legally consent to this policy on their own.
This website uses only what's strictly necessary to make pages work. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies here.
If we make a significant change to how we handle your data, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know before it takes effect.
